Shuhul Taaph -socio cultural magazine hits stands

JAMMU, Feb 27: Shuhul Taaph, a quarterly socio-cultural magazine was released today in an impressive function at Press Club here. Shuhul Taaph is an official magazine of Kashmir Education Cultural and Science Society (KECSS),  New Delhi.
Dr. Aziz Hajni Secretary Cultural Academy ,presided over the function while  Prof H L Misri was the Chief Guest.
Arvind Shah, Editor in Chief of the Magazine gave a brief introduction of it and the organization KECSS. He said, KECSSS has been working for the enrichment of language and cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir with emphasis on the language and culture of Kashmir, and the publication of this Shuhul Taaph is extension of this objective. He said there are many magazines published and addition of one more will add more dimensions to the arm of expression. This magazine will try to integrate all the good work done by different organizations and will not limit its expression to the work done by KECSS, he added.
The other special feature of the magazine he, said is that it is committed to give space to all sections of people  be it students, professional, coming up writers and artists. Every section will find a place of expression.
Prof Misri in his address said that such magazines play a very important role in the society. It educates the new generations about the culture, heritage, language, rituals and things that are important for a rich life.
Dr.  Aziz Hajni also appreciated the magazine. He made a scholarly address and spoke about the various aspects in a lucid and crisp manner. He emphasized the essence of language literature and applied arts in human community. He said that it is language culture and art that gives a purpose to life. Language literature art and other forms of creatively live long when it contains compassion for all and gives a sentiment of love to possess and share.
The programme was conducted by Brij Nath Betab, a distinguished broadcaster.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Ramesh Aryan. Prominent who were present on the occasion included Farooq Nazki former Director AIR and a well known writer, Prof P N Trisal a prominent writer and scholar, Dr R L Bhat, eminent scholar, Ramesh Hangloo, Director Sharda Radio, M K Bangru, senior journalist, Anil Bhat, Bureau Chief PTI, Mahraj Krishan Mahraj, Santosh Shah Nadan, Adarsh Ajit, G R Hasrat Gadda, T K Jigyasoo, Handoo and others.
