Srinagar, May 8: A spontaneous shutdown was observed in several parts of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the killings of three militants yesterday in an encounter. During shutdown, stone-throwing clashes erupted at Tahab village of the district.
At Tahab, the native village of Ishfaq Baba, massive stone-pelting clashes between youths and security forces raged intermittently throughout the day. Police used teargas and pellet gunfire against the protesters. At least six persons sustained injuries during these clashes.
