Srinagar, Oct 17: A shutdown was observed in Habba Kadal area of Old City here today against the alleged ransacking by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel last night.
Locals this morning took to streets and protested against CRPF. They alleged that the CRPF personnel last night broke glasses and windowpanes of vehicles and residential houses.
To pacify the protesters, the senior police officers rushed to the spot and assured them of probe. The shopkeepers later in the afternoon opened their shops and normalcy returned in the area.
