Srinagar, July 28: A shutdown was observed in Dangerpora area of Pulwama Township in south Kashmir against bad condition of circular road.
Since early morning, all the shops were shut in Dangerpora while as locals blocked main road and staged protests. The locals are demanding macadamization of the road.
The locals said that the authorities are not paying heed to their request of macadamization. “Whenever any VIP or senior officer have to pass through this road, the authorities sprinkle water on it but for us, they are not doing anything,” the locals said.
The locals further said that the authorities have told them that it would take 2 to 3 years for macadamizing the road. “We appeal them that if they can’t macadamize it as of now, then close this road for the vehicular movement and declare it ‘no entry zone’,” they added.
