JAMMU, May 31: The Special Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu today arrested a former Hizbul Mujahideen militant for his involvement in a First Information Report (FIR) registered at Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) here about 12 years back.
He has been identified as Abdul Rashid code name Arsalan son of Abdul Gani Sheikh, a resident of village Tantna in Ghat area of Doda district.
An SIA team was deputed to Doda which made the arrest.
Rashid, as per an SIA handout, was in constant touch with Kashmir based Hizbul Mujahideen militant and was involved in terror activities in Doda.
