SIDBI program for Small Industries Management at SMVDU from May 25

JAMMU, Apr 10: For the first time in Jammu and Kashmir, Small Industries Management Programme is being organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, next month.
This 14-week programme from May 25 at the SMVDU campus, is being sponsored by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The participants successfully completing this program will be awarded ‘Certificate in Enterprise Management’.
First Phase of this program will cover the major topics of MBA program in a capsule form in just 4 weeks in the classroom setting. The pedagogy and instructional methods of the program would include lectures, group discussions, management games, case analysis, interactive sessions, panel discussions and field visits.
Eminent experts from academia, Government, MSME support institutions, subject experts and practicing entrepreneurs will be invited as the resource faculty.
Second Phase would comprise work placement for 8 to 10 weeks preferably in small or medium enterprise to be chosen by the participants. Presentation skills will be taught in the Third Phase. Participants will be given an opportunity to present their Project Reports through PPT in this Phase.
Participants will be selected on First Come First Served basis. Last date for application is May 12, 2015. However, there is a discount of Rs 3000 for those who apply for the course up to April 17,, 2015. Details of the program are available on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University website.
