SAMBA, Dec 8: SIDCO Park, which is the identity of SIDCO Complex Samba, is nowadays in worst condition but the concerning authorities are totally mum and don’t pay any attention for maintenance of the park.
People alleged that when the SIDCO Complex was established in Samba this park was the main place for the recreation of the people of Samba who visit there in evening hours of the Summer to take respite from the scorching heat. However, with the passage of time concerning authorities failed to maintain the park with the result it has been converted into wild weeds. People have now made an appeal to the district administration Samba to maintain the park.
Karan Kumar, a local resident of Samba said that the condition of park is very bad and it gives a shabby look as there is no space for seating in this park. He said the Park is famous and better place for Jhankies. When the park was established the locals of Samba visited there along with their families for recreation purposes.
But today they feel disgusted as the park is in bad condition and the concerned department is in deep slumber with the result the beauty of this park has been eclipsed.
Presently the park has become a den of gamblers and drug addicts, he added.
