Sikh community people protest against MLA Suchetgarh

JAMMU, Oct 6: Large number of people from Sikh community today held protest against MLA Suchetgarh Sham Choudhary at Digiana by blocking the vehicular movement on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway.
The people from Sikh community assembled at Digiana and raised slogans demanding arrest of the son of MLA Suchetgarh Sham Choudhary, who along with others assaulted Ranjit Singh, son of Bachitter Singh of Digiana and his family members over the dispute of a house yesterday.
The protestors blocked the vehicular movement on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway, leading to long traffic snarls. They were demanding immediate arrest of the son of MLA Sham Choudhary along with his associates.
On getting information, Gandhi Nagar police rushed to the spot and assured the protestors that strict action will be taken against those, who will be found guilty.
As per police sources, Sharan Choudhary, son of MLA Suchetgarh Sham Choudhary and Vicky Choudhary, son of Gharu Ram Choudhary had some verbal dual will Ranjit Singh yesterday over the dispute of a house at Digiana yesterday. Later, Sharan and Vicky assaulted Ranjit Singh and his family members including his sons and grand children and escaped from the spot.
Ranjit Singh and his family members were rushed to hospital, from where they were later discharged after treatment.
The family members of Ranjit Singh lodged a complaint against Sharan and Vicky at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and a case under FIR number 220/14 was registered against them.
Later, the family members of Sharan and Vicky also lodged a complaint against Ranjit Singh and a case under FIR number 221/14 has been registered against Ranjit with Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
