JAMMU, Aug 19: J&K Sikh United Front has alleged that dividing India on the basis of religion was against the fundamentals of the Constitution of India.
Reacting sharply to the remarks of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Front general secretary Avtar Singh Khalsa alleged that recent statement of RSS leader smacks of the nefarious designs of the Sangh to keep the communal passion on boil for petty electoral gains in the forthcoming Assembly elections. He said by calling all the inhabitants of India as Hindus, the true colour of RSS has been exposed which intend to eat into the secular foundation of India. He described the move to weaken the secular fabric of the country.
Mohinder Singh from the Front  pointed out that whether followers of  Sikhism, Islam or Christianity are Hindus. He said that RSS leaders should avoid giving such statements which create heartburns among other communities and followers of different faiths in the country. Paramjit Singh,  Surinder Singh Kala, Ramneek Singh Bijral, Kulwant Singh, Gajan Singh, Manmohan Singh and others were also present.
