JAMMU, Mar 26:  Annoyed over the incident of burglary in a Gurudwara in Kashmir and the disrespect shown towards the Sikh’s religious books and other holy items, Sikh Youth Sewa Trust (SYST) today staged a protest against the culprits at near Gurdwara Nanak Nagar,  Jammu  today and demanded immediate action against the accused.
The protesting youth were shouting slogans against Govt  and also carrying placards depicting demands. They expressed strong resentment over the matter.
While talking to media persons during protest chairman SYST, Tejinder Pal Singh said that persons who do not respect the sentiments of other religious communities, should not be allowed to move freely in the society.  He said Gurdwara is the place of worship for a Sikh living in any part of the world and attack on it will not be tolerated by the Sikhs at any cost.
He demanded that Govt should trace and punish  the miscreants behind this sacrilegious act under  law of the land.  They should be put  behind the bars.  He further lamented that despite  the fact that Sikhs, who have sacrificed for the freedom of our country from the hands of  Britishers and have always stand on forefront for its development are now being a subject of attack in their own country, which is sheer injustice towards their sacrifices.
Prominent among other present on the occasion included Parvinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Kanwarjot Singh and others.
