NEW DELHI, Nov 20: Silver prices fell by 1.760 per cent to Rs 35,755 per kg in futures trade today, taking weak cues from the global market amid strengthening dollar.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 617, or 1.70 per cent, to Rs 35,755 per kg in a business turnover of 1,182 lots.
In a similar fashion, the white metal for delivery in March 2015 contracts declined by Rs 594, or 1.59 per cent, to Rs 36,664 per kg in business volume of 219 lots.
Market analysts said a subdued trend in the global markets amid strengthening dollar on expectations that the US interest rate will rise, reducing appeal for the bullion, led to the fall in silver prices in futures trade here.
In the international market, silver lost 0.60 per cent to USD 16.05 an ounce in Singapore. (PTI)
