Silver futures extend losses on weak global cues

NEW DELHI, Apr 1: Silver futures prices today fell by another 0.33 per cent to trade at Rs 42,664 per kg, taking weak cues from the global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May traded lower by Rs 141, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 42,664 per kg in a business turnover of 561 lots.
Similarly, the precious metal for delivery in July declined by Rs 81, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 43,380 per kg in business volume of eight lots.
In Singapore, silver traded 0.40 per cent lower at USD 19.68 an ounce in Singapore, extending a 6.8 per cent retreat in March.
Market analysts said a weakening trend in the precious metal in the global markets mainly weighed on the silver prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
