JAMMU, Oct 16: Prominent social worker and SSP (Rtd) Bhupinder Singh today visited Bolli-Chak , Hansa, Manaa and Nanowali villages of Suchetgarh Assembly constituency.
While interacting with the villagers, Mr Singh said, “at the time of independence, Mahatama Gandhi called upon the youth to participate actively in the freedom movement and young leaders came to his reckoning and led the movement”.
“The youth of modern India are aware of the problems facing our country like corruption, mis-governance, vote-bank politics and policy paralysis and given a chance they would be ready to change the political condition of the State and country for better”, he further said. He, however, regretted that young people are not given opportunities to prove themselves claiming that they are not equipped with experience to participate actively in the governance.
Mr Singh also listened the issues and problems faced by the locals like excessive electricity bills , worst road conditions and ration-card issues. He assured that their issues will be taken up with the concerned departments and all efforts will be made to sort out the same.
