JAMMU, Feb 8: Apna Dogri Channel Jammu and Kashmir, has informed that a singing contest “Voice of Duggar- Duggar Di Surili Aawaz” will be organized by it with free of cost registration of the participants.
This was disclosed by some eminent artists and representatives of various cultural and social organizations of Jammu division, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“No registration fee will be charged from any participant, who can sing in any language or dialect of Duggar Pradesh such as Dogri, Gojri, Pahari, Kangri, Chambiali, Gadiyali, Padri, Bhadravahi, Himachali, Saraji etc,” they said.
Artists from all districts of Jammu province as well as from various areas of neighbouring State Himachal Pradesh like Chamba, Kangra, Pathankot, Khajiar, Nurpur etc will be invited to participate.
The competition will have a total of 5 rounds. The first two rounds of the contest will be conducted online following the Covid protocol while the quarter final, semi-final and final will be held offline on the stage.
The winner will be awarded the title of’ “Voice of Duggar- Duggar Di Sureeli Awaz” and will also provided a lead singer opportunity in three major musical projects. Moreover winner will also get’ VOD Trophy ‘ and a cash prize of one lakh rupees.
Devendra Thakur, MD Apna Dogri channel, said that it is first time in the history of Duggar Pradesh that such a wide platform is being provided to singers of all languages and dialects of Duggar. “Our main objective is to provide a high level platform to Duggar’s unique talent,” he said and appealed to the entire Dogra people across the globe to participate in this program in one way or the other and cooperate through all means.
He also appealed the people to follow and subscribe to ‘Apna Dogri channel’ on Facebook and YouTube so that these unique talents can be presented in front of whole world.
Renowned artist of J&K Seema Sehgal, renowned artist Bunty Cartoonist, singer Vanshika Jaral, video director Rahul Sharma, singer Sars Bharti, cultural activist Sandeep Khajuria, writer Yashpaul Nirmal, social activist Subhash Sharma, Bhakh singer Asha Kesar, renowned singer Deepak Kumar and some other eminent personalities were present in the press conference.
