JAMMU, June 26: Government today assigned the additional charge of the Security Wing, J&K, and Special Security Group (SSG), J&K, to the Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) PHQ, MK Sinha.
An order in this context was issued after Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, former Additional Director General of Police, Security, J&K (holding additional charge of Director, SSG, J&K), was relieved from the post and asked to join as the new Head of the Police, Union Territory of Ladakh.
“In compliance of the MHA, Government of India’s order, Dr Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, ADGP, Security, J&K (holding the additional charge of Director, SSG, J&K), is relieved from the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, to enable him to take up new assignment as Head of Police, UT of Ladakh.”
The order further read, “it is further ordered that MK Sinha, ADGP (headquarters) PHQ, J&K, shall also hold charge of the security wing, J&K and Special Security Group, J&K, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.”
