Sisters killed in flash flood in central Kashmir’s Chadoora

SRINAGAR: Two minor sisters were killed in a flash flood, triggered by incessant rain in central Kashmir district of Budgam on Monday.

Official sources said that incessant rain lashed Chadoora in Budgam on Monday evening, triggering flash flood. ”Two sisters, identified as Ruksana and Rumaisa, were washed way in the flash flood, when they were grazing cattle in a field in Chadoora,” they said.

They said a search and rescue operation was immediately launched in the area. However, they said bodies of both the girls were recovered from a nearby canal. (AGENCIES)
