SIT constituted to conduct probe into death of villager

KISHTWAR, June 9: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abrar Chowdhary has constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the death of a villager.
As per police spokesman, the SIT will be headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Manoj Kumar to probe into the death of Moti Lal, son of Chet Ram of Sounder, Dachhan, who was found handed with a tree in Krosa area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dachhan Police Station.
“Board of doctors has already conducted the postmortem, the report of which is awaited”, spokesman said, adding that the SIT has started the probe.
Besides probing into the cause of the death, the SIT will also look into the other reported issues forthwith, the police spokesman informed.
He stated that the SIT will also conduct enquiry into the alleged assault on a lady by few masked men in Kalnoo area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dachhan Police Station.
