Srinagar, Feb 20: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Awantipora in Pulwama district today conducted raids at two different locations in the Tral area of South Kashmir.

The searched locations were residential houses of Jamsheed Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, resident of Satoora Tral and Sameer Ahmad Mohand, son of Ghulam Mohammad Mohand resident of Shairabad Tral.
An official said that during the search, proper SOPs were followed and relevant information was gathered. Incriminating material was recovered by the SIU Awantipora.
He said that the searches were conducted to collect more evidences of their involvement in other militancy related cases. The case (FIR No. 37/2022) has been registered in Police Station Tral last year.
The official said that raids will continue till the logical conclusion of all UAPA cases. He said that all those supporting militancy will be identified and ecosystem will be eliminated.
