Six arrested with Rs 58,000 stake money

JAMMU, Oct 6: Police arrested six persons along with Rs 58,000 stake money and playing cards from Raipur area, falling under the jurisdiction of Satwari police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Satwari police station conducted raid in Raipur area and nabbed six gamblers along with Rs 58,000 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Jagbir Singh, son of Mangal Singh of Raipur Satwari, Tejinder Singh, son of Prithi Singh of Bhathindi, Raj Kumar alias Raju, son of Jagat Ram of Toph Sherkhania, Dharampal, son of Chaman Lal of Raipur Satwari, Rajesh Singh, son of Shiv Dharshan of Old Satwari and Kewal Krishan, son of Shiv Dhan Singh of Hakkal.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered at police station Satwari and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
