JAMMU, Nov 13: Khour Police has arrested six gamblers with stake money of Rs 20,000.
“Acting on specific inputs, a team of Police Station Khour led by SHO Inspector Ravi Kant raided a shop belonging to Karan Singh son of Chell Singh of Pangali, at Pangali and caught six gamblers along with Rs 20,000 of stake money,” a Police spokesman said.
He said a case under Section 13 of Gambling Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Khour and the accused identified as Karan Singh son of Udham Singh, Swarn Singh son of Chell Singh, Pawan Singh son of Chell Singh, Tarsem Singh son of Uttam Singh, Karan Singh son of Chell Singh and Vijay Singh son of Wajir Singh, were arrested.
“The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma,” he said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
