JAMMU, Mar 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed that they have arrested six gamblers along with stake money of Rs 37220 from Domana area here.
A police spokesperson said that Sandeep Khanna of Purkhoo, Rajesh Kumar of Takuchak, Dinesh Sharma of Domana, Daleep Kumar of Kothein Neiter, Sanjay Singh of Domana, and Vinod Kumar of Purkhoo Camp, was arrested by a team of Police Station Domana led by SDPO Domana Sunil Singh assisted by Police Station Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal, PSI Danish, and PSI Anoop Kotwal, during patrolling duty at Purkhoo area.
“Rs 37220 cash and a deck of playing card were also recovered from the accused gamblers,” he said.
“The accused have been booked under Section 13 of the Gambling Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up,” he added.
