JAMMU, Aug 4: Six students of a Government school today landed in hospital after they fell ill allegedly due to dehydration in Akhnoor tehsil.
“Nearly six students of Government High School Kathar in Akhnoor this morning fell unconscious,” police sources said.
They said that the students were rushed to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor. “Doctors have said that dehydration is the reason behind the unconsciousness, as students were they are stable”, they said, adding, students were immediately put on medicine while one of them was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
“All the students were discharge later after their health condition improved. The parents of the students have alleged that they fell ill after having drinking water from a tank in the school but we are investigating the matter,” police said.
