Six hurt in Valley mishaps

Srinagar, Aug 22: Police today said six persons were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a Maruti-800 car bearing registration number JK01H-0737 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-din at Wassan Crossing in Kunzar area of Baramulla district. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Magam for treatment where from he was referred to JVC Srinagar for further treatment.
The spokesman said an Alto car bearing registration number JK13D-2790 driven by Feroz Ahmad Bhat hit and injured a pedestrian namely Abdul Hamid Reshi Chawaullar in Tral area of Pulwama district. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment where from he was referred to SMHS, Srinagar for further treatment.
The spokesman said a Tipper bearing registration number JK01P-1665 driven by Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir collided with a LP truck bearing registration number JK01F-0465 driven by Arif Ahmad Sheikh near DPO Ganderbal in Ganderbal district, resulting in injuries to Yasmeena and Zareena. “Both the injured girls were shifted Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a tipper bearing registration number JK014/61 turned turtle at Harwan-Yamargal road in Bomai area of Sopore in Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Abdul Ahad Reshi and Hilal Ahmad Reshi. “Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment where from they were shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
