SAMBA, Dec 27: Six huts (kullahs) of Gujjar community were gutted in fire at tehsil Vijaypur.
As per reports, six huts (kullahs) of Gujjar community were gutted in fire at Rakh Barotia, Gujjar Basti, tehsil Vijaypur this evening.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. After hectic efforts of couple of hours, the fire was brought under control.
No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that short circuit is the reason behind the fire.
