JAMMU, Mar 15: On the basis of public complaints, the Excise teams booked six more wine shops for over charging from the customers for various liquor products.
Official sources said that on the directions of the Excise Commissioner, J&K, various Excise teams led by concerned ETOs and Inspectors conducted surprise inspection of 45 shops in Samba, R S Pura, Reasi, Rajouri, Ramnagar and Doda today and booked six wine shop operators for over-charging from customers.
The establishments booked today are-Dharampal Wine Shop Raya Morh, Samba; Baljeet Singh Wine Shop, Kullian, RS Pura; Rashpal Singh Wine Shop Miran Sahib; Mahesh Chandra Wine Shop, Laiter, Reasi; Santosh Kumari Wine Shop, Ramnagar (Udahmpur) and Amit Kumar Wine Shop Udrana, Doda. The Excise teams recommended these shops for heavy fine/penalty to the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu. Excise Commissioner, Pankaj Sharma suggested the people to prefer on-line mode of payment while purchasing liquor from shops.
