Six thieves held with stolen steel

RAMBAN, Jan 22: Police here today arrested six thieves and recovered from them 8 quintal steel they have stolen.
Police sources informed that on January 20, Jaya Prakash, Supervisor of Hitech-Erector Company got a complaint registered regarding theft of about 8 quintal steel of dia 8/10 mm from the site at Hitech-Erectors Sangaldhan.
On this cops registered an FIR under Section 379 IPC at Police Station Gool and the investigation was entrusted to PSI Dalbir Singh, Incharge Police Post Sangaldhan. During investigation, PSI Dalbir Singh arrested six thieves -Tahir Ahmed, son of, Mohd Din resident of, Suksar, Chasna, Reasi (Security Guard at Hitech-Erector Company); Mohd Farooq, son of, Adh Sheikh; Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat, son of, Abdul Rasheed Khanday; Amanullah, son of, Abdul Ganie; Javed Ahmed Bhat, son of, Mohd Shafi Bhat-all residents of Seripura, Gool, Ramban and Atta Mohd resident of Bhandan, Sangaldan, Gool.
During sustained interrogation these arrested persons confessed their involvement in the theft and on their disclosure recovery of stolen items was made.
Investigation in the case was going on.
The recovery was made by PSI Dalbir Singh under the supervision of Inspector Nazir Ahmed, SHO Gool and Dy.SP Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool under the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
