KATHUA, Oct 12: Police here today under the supervision of SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal seized six vehicles-three tractors along with trolleys and three dumpers-indulged in illegal transportation of construction material.
During the intervening night of October 11-12, 2022, a police team led by Sub Inspector, Sanjeet Singh, Incharge Police Post, Basantpur under the supervision of Dy.SP DAR Kathua, Sukhdev Singh seized three tractor along with trolleys bearing registration numbers JK08B-9852, JK08C-7390 & JK08L-0452 for illegal transportation of sand.
In another incident, on intervening night of October 11-12, 2022, a police team led by Inspector Balram Sharma, Incharge Police Post Nagri under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar, during checking duty at Nagri seized three dumpers bearing numbers PB06Q-2430, PB06Q-2405 & PB02EE-8222 for illegal transportation of gravel.
All the six vehicles involved in illegal mining were seized and handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
