JAMMU, Feb 17: Police in Jammu District claimed today that they have seized 6 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
According to a police spokesperson, four tractor trolleys were seized by Police Station Gharota, one dumper by Police Station Bishnah and another dumper by Police Station RS Pura.
The recoveries were made by SHO Gharota, Inspector Joginder Singh Chib; SHO Bishnah, Vikram Sharma, and SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar Dogra, said the police spokesperson.
He said that the vehicles were seized because they were mining in violation of a High Court order.
“DMO Jammu has been intimated about the seizures made,” he said.
