UDHAMPUR, Sept 13: Students of Sanskrit Kanya Gurukul (SKG) today visited ancillary areas around Garhi village to spread awareness among villagers on Sanskrit language, which is called as mother of all languages.
Led by Dr Pratibha Purandhi, the girl students of the Gurukul in the form of a rally walked through different areas around Garhi village to spread the message that Sanskrit is the ‘Janani’ of all the languages. Their efforts were applauded by one and all. The chants of “Jaytu Sanskritam; Jayatu Bharatam” and “Scientific language = Sanskrit language”, “Amra language = Sanskrit language” etc. echoed throughout the village.
This noble cause garnered tremendous support from all the localities who pledged to make this a resounding success. Dr Pratibha Purandhi along with Sukriti Chowdhury and Arun Chowdhury requested the attendees to participate in these events as well as admit their girl children in the Gurukul so that they could ascertain the powerful knowledge of Sanskrit language.
Pertinently, Sanskrit Kanya Gurukul has been established at Mahatma Raseela Ram Vedic Kanya Gurukul, Gharhi (Udhampur) by Dr Pratibha Purandhi after attaining superannuation as Assistant Professor of Sanskrit from University of Jammu.
