SRINAGAR, Apr 12: Chinar Nau Jawan Club has been providing skill oriented training in six different domains to the youth of Baramulla in collaboration with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) since its inception.
An Army spokesman said SSC Parthiban, Executive Director and Chief Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ONGC along with his associate Kiran Nikam and Nikhil Pant, Principal Consultant, Research Extension Association for Conservation Horticulture and Agroforestry (REACHA), the NGO associated with Chinar Nau Jawan Club, visited the centre on Apr 11 with an aim to provide an insight to the sponsors about the activities being carried out and the progress made by Chinar Nau Jawan Club.
“They witnessed the facilities being provided by the club and interacted with successful students who after completion of training are working with renowned companies or have found a source of livelihood. SSC Parthiban appreciated the efforts being made by the Army in showing the path of progress to the youth of Kashmir,” he said
“Towards the culmination of the visit, Parthiban interacted with the students, teachers, parents and staff and promised continued support of ONGC to the Chinar Nau Jawan Club for the goodwill of the youth,” he added.
