JAMMU, July 30: A skill development course on “Making of Soft-Toys” conducted by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) Jammu concluded at Nari Niketan in RS Pura in a small but impressive function.
About 14 women inmates took advantage of the course, who were awarded certificates of participation by Ajeet Kumar Sahu, District Development Commissioner Jammu.
Sudhir Bali, District Social Welfare Officer, Jammu, R L Lochan, Chief Manager (LB) SBI Jammu, Mohinder Pal FLC, SDM RS Pura, CDPO RS Pura and various other dignitaries graced the occasion.
Interacting with the candidates, Sahu motivated them to take full advantage of the skill acquired by them and start earning money for themselves. He also sanctioned Rs 20000 as revolving fund to help the inmates for starting their money earning activity.
He also asked the District Social Welfare Officer to liaise with various Government Departments for helping the inmates in the sale of the products made by them.
