SKIMS forms CSR cell for partnerships

Srinagar, Feb 11: Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, has constituted a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cell to enhance patient welfare through external partnerships.
The five-member cell will strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve patient welfare by mobilizing CSR funds and fostering collaborations with corporate entities for the overall development of healthcare services at the institute.
The members have been tasked with identifying key areas for CSR support, including infrastructure development, patient welfare, equipment procurement, and research support.
Additionally, the cell will establish partnerships with corporate organizations and other stakeholders under CSR guidelines while ensuring the proper utilization and monitoring of CSR funds in compliance with regulatory requirements.
According to the order, the cell will also promote transparency and accountability in all CSR-related initiatives.
The cell also will meet quarterly or as needed to discuss ongoing and potential projects and will prepare and submit periodic reports on CSR activities to the Director of SKIMS.
The members of the cell include Prof. Ajaz Ahmad Lone from the Department of Cardiology, the Chief Accounts Officer (SKIMS, Soura), the Assistant Director (Public Relations), the Administrative Officer (Hospital Administration), and the Assistant Legal Remembrancer (SKIMS).
