SRINAGAR, Apr 23: The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar today suspended half a dozen of workers out of which five have been suspended for non-compliance with the orders while one more has been suspended for his alleged involvement in “malpractices”.
In this regard, the suspension orders were issued by the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Srinagar. “Pending enquiry into the conduct, the following officials are hereby placed under suspension with’ immediate effect for non-compliance of orders,” the order read.
As per the order, those suspended and attached to the office of the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Srinagar include Shazia Showkat, Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Syed Abdul Wahid, Irshad Ahmad Khan, all Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Mehboob Hassan Sheikh, Sanitary Worker.
The suspended workers, as per the order, shall remain attached in the office of the undersigned till further orders.
In another order issued by the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Srinagar one more Sanitary worker has been suspended for alleged involvement in malpractices.
“Pending enquiry into the conduct, Gh Nabi Sheikh, Sanitary Worker is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect for alleged involvement in malpractices. He shall remain attached in the office of undersigned till further orders,” the order read.
Meanwhile, three employees of the Gastroenterology Department of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura were suspended today.
“Pending enquiry, following officials of the department of Gastroenterology SKIMS are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.” read an order issued here in this regard by the Additional Director, SKIMS.
Those who have been suspended include, Lone Mohd. Amin Amini, Technologist-I, and Technician-I, Mohd Yaseen Wani, and Parminder Kour.
Lone Mohd. Amin Amini is hereby attached to the office of undersigned till further orders while as Mohd. Yaseen Wani & Parminder Kour shall remain attached with the office of Dean Medical Faculty SKIMS & HoD Radiology till further orders,” the order read.
Also, as per the order, Dr Altaf Shah, Prof. & HoD Gastroenterology SKIMS has been directed to conduct an enquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report within a week.
Meanwhile, the Government today attached two ARTOs and relieved a KAS officer from the Transport Department.
An order to this effect issued by the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Transport Department directed Mubashir Jan, Incharge ARTO BOI, Kashmir to be transferred and attached to the office of Transport Commissioner, J&K at Srinagar, till further orders.
Also, Jamshed Rasool, Incharge ARTO Baramulla, has been transferred and attached to the office of Regional Transport Officer Kashmir till further orders.
Another official, Shoab (Suhayb) Ahmad Wani, currently ARTO Pulwama, as per the order, has been relieved from the Transport Department and asked to report to the General Administration Department for further posting.
In this regard, Muzzam Ali, ARTO Shopian, has been directed to hold the charge of ARTO Pulwama, in addition to his duties while Anis Ahmad Wani, ARTO Kupwara asked to hold the charge of ARTO Baramulla, in addition to his duties, till further orders.
