SKIMS inks MoU with CGHS for cashless treatment benefits

Srinagar, July 25: SKIMS, Soura today announced an extension of cashless treatment benefits to Central Government pensioners following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
The MOU was signed in the presence of SKIMS Director Dr. M. Ashraf Ganaie, Additional Director CGHS Chandigarh Dr. Negi, and vice president of the Central Government Welfare Association Kashmir Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi.
Senior officers from both SKIMS and CGHS, including the Dean Medical Faculty, Additional Director SKIMS, and Medical Superintendent SKIMS, were also present.
Dr. Ganaie stated that SKIMS is committed to facilitating CGHS beneficiaries and will work with Dr. Negi to extend similar benefits to SKIMS pensioners.
He emphasized SKIMS’s openness to collaborations and joint ventures with international and public institutions to enhance the institute’s capabilities and improve services.
Highlighting the importance of hassle-free services, Dr. Ganaie reiterated SKIMS’s commitment to providing top-notch patient care and improving services for the general public, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals.
The vice president of the Central Government Welfare Association Kashmir and other association members expressed their gratitude for the support and cooperation from SKIMS, noting that around 65,000 Central Government pensioners in Kashmir will benefit from the new arrangement.
