SRINAGAR, June 20: Government today said the Sher-e- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura is soon going to have its own PET machine which will help them to diagnose various types of cancers like stomach and lungs easily.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Ali Mohammd Sagar in Lower House, Minister incharge Health and Medical Education Department stated that the purchase committee of SKIMS has approved the procurement of PET scan from M/s Wipro & GE Health care and the process of procurement is in the final stage.
The Minister further stated that the department will explore ways and means for procurement of PET scan for Government Medical Colleges at Srinagar and Jammu.
