SKPA conducts crash course on new Criminal Laws-2023

UDHAMPUR, June 14: The five-day crash course on the new Criminal Laws-2023, which began at the S K Police Academy on June 10, concluded today.
Forty-eight police personnel, ranging from Constables to Inspectors of the J&K Police, Districts Udhampur and Reasi, participated in the course.
Organized under the directives of the J&K Police Headquarters, the program aimed to familiarize police personnel with the key provisions of the new Criminal Laws-2023 recently promulgated by the Central Government, ensuring their effective implementation on the ground.
A valediction ceremony was held at the Academy, with SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director (Indoor) SKPA, serving as the chief guest. In his valedictory address, Gupta emphasized the importance of understanding all three new Criminal Laws – the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 – to ensure their proper application in law enforcement.
Eminent speakers, including Neeraj Gupta Advocate, Ajay Bandral Advocate, Inspector Paramjeet Singh, Inspector Rakesh Manni, Sandeep Bhat Advocate, and Jasbir Singh Advocate delivered insightful lectures to the trainees, focusing on the practical understanding of the new Criminal Laws to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
The course was coordinated by Riaz Ahmed, Sr PO, with assistance from SI Subash Chander of SKPA Udhampur.
