UDHAMPUR, July 22: The Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) has launched a 5-day training course focused on new criminal laws for master trainers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jammu & Kashmir.
The program includes 12 participants including 3 Chief Prosecuting Officers, as many Senior Prosecuting Officers, 1 Deputy Superintendent of Police, 3 Inspectors, and 2 Selection grade Constables.
Designed to provide a thorough understanding of recent changes in criminal law, the course aims to equip ACB personnel with the necessary skills to address contemporary challenges.
Training sessions include interactive discussions comparing old and new laws, enhancing participants’ comprehension and practical application.
The course underscores the Police Department’s commitment to providing up-to-date training, ensuring ACB personnel remain at the forefront.
The inaugural function featured Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor), as the chief guest.
In his address, Gupta welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of being well-prepared for modern challenges.
He stressed understanding the differences between old and new laws and delivered a detailed lecture on the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, discussing its philosophy and changes.
The course is coordinated by Amit Parkash Sehgal, Senior Police Officer at SKPA, with assistance from Sub-Inspector Subash Chander.
