JAMMU, Apr 6: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) is holding its 4th Convocation on April 8, 2015 at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium of the University of Jammu.
Dr S Ayyappan, Secretary Department of Agriculture Research and Education, Govt. of India and Director General, Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi will be chief guest in the Convocation, which shall be presided over by Governor N N Vohra.
During the Convocation, 727 Degrees will be awarded to the pass outs of the University in Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Agricultural, Veterinary Sciences and Bio-Technology. Besides, nine Gold Medals and 173 Merit Certificates will also be awarded to the meritorious students.
Pertinent to mention here that SKUAST-Jammu, which was established on September 20, 1999, offers professional degree programmes at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences and its allied disciplines, Biotechnology, Agriculture Business Management and Basic Sciences.
