Jammu, Oct 8: To enhance the efficiency and transparency in procurement and work contracts, Prof. Pradeep K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST Jammu), launched the e-tendering service of SKUAST-Jammu through portal www.jktenders.gov.in at the University’s Data Centre.
The e-tendering is aimed to bring transparency in work contracts and with the features like raising of indents as per requirement ,approving indents online, selling tenders, receiving bids , evaluation of bids & awarding the contracts.
The officers of the university present at the launching of web-portal included Dr. R.M. Bhagat, Dean Faculty of Agriculture; T.R. Bhagat, Estates Officer; Dr. Deepak Kher, Project Planning and Monitoring Officer & Nodal Officer e-tendering; and Dr S.K Sen Comptroller. Besides, Iqbal Singh, Executive Engineer; IT staff and other members of the estates division of the university were also present.
