JAMMU, July 26: Non Teaching Employees Association of SKUAST-Jammu today elected its new office bearers and the executive body, during a general body meeting of the Association, here today.
P D K Uppal has been elected as president of the Association while K D Singh was elected as Sr vice president, Gursajiwan Singh as vice president, Zamir-Ul-Haq as general secretary, Naresh Kumar Bhat as joint secretary, Bimal Singh Jamwal as Treasurer, Rajesh Sharma as organizing secretary, Dheeraj Rajwal as publicity secretary Manzoor Ahmad as joint treasurer and Vikas Gandotra as secretary.
The general body meeting also discussed some burning issues of the Non Teaching Employees of the SKUAST-Jammu, such as promotions/ selection scales of various cadres, creation of new positions in respect of Non Teaching staff for newly established faculty of Basic Sciences, School of Biotechnology and Faculty of Agri Business, caderization of isolated cadres, promotional policy of IT and Technical cadres, creation of Non Teaching Welfare Fund at the pattern of other State Universities, etc.
The meeting was presided over by the senior non teaching members, who included R K Kapoor, Manmohan Singh and Mohinder Sharma while SKUAST-J president Dr Vikas Sharma and general secretary Dr Vivek Arya were also present in the meeting.
