JAMMU, July 29: Pass out function of the graduating students of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J ) was held today at SKUAST Jammu.
On the last day of their six months internship programme of the pass outs, Prof M M S Zama, Dean of the Faculty administered ‘Veterinarians Oath’ to pass out graduates in the presence of SKUAST-J Vice-Chancellor Prof Pradeep K Sharma, who was chief guest on the occasion.
The VC awarded Internship completion certificate to the passing out students and advised them to reiterate the oath daily while serving the rural farming community for their economic betterment. He further highlighted the importance of super specialization in different areas of animal sciences and stressed upon the pass outs to go for higher education to gain super expertise.
Taniya Gupta, Gold Medallist of the pass out batch, also spoke on the occasion while Dr J S Soodan, In-charge Internship Programme, presented a formal welcome address.
Dr S R Sharma, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Dr S L Bhagat, Director Animal Husbandry, Jammu, Dr B B Gupta, Registrar SKUAST-Jammu, Dr M S Bhadwal, Associate Dean, F V Sc & A H, R S.Pura were also present on this occasion along with faculty members.
