SKUAST-J Teachers discuss issues of KVKs

JAMMU, Mar 27: A meeting between the office bearers of SKUAST – Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) and scientists from different Krishi Vigyan Kendras of SKUAST-Jammu was held under the chairmanship Dr Vikas Sharma for discussing various issues pertaining to the development of KVKs.
The meeting was attended by more than 30 Scientists/Subject Matter Specialists including Programme Assistants from various KVKs located at Bhaderwah, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch and Jammu. Several agendas pertaining to the overall welfare, better functioning and progress of the KVKs were deliberated in the meeting.
During the meeting it was decided that the Association will work for the release of pending salaries/arrears of all KVKs and AICRP schemes on priority basis and in the constitution of various committees at University and Directorate Level, KVK staff will be given due preference. The house expressed unanimously that preparation of the seniority list among all KVK teaching employees besides speedy redressal of the problems being faced by the employees under CAS should be given preference.
