A legend goes, “Some are born great some achieve greatness and some greatness thrust upon them”.
Among most of the successful children in the career building of their course of Education, great and commendable are those who strive and struggle to achieve their goal because of their industrial behavior and zest for seeking education. Hardwork pays in the long run. Those who don’t deviate from their target, remain attached and stick to their aim, surely and certainly hit the bulls eye.
We salute such children affectionately for their outstanding success that has a strong sense and power of inspiration for so many youngsters. Letus meet and talk to one of such students, Aditya Kanwal S/o Dr. Naresh Kumar Kanwal R/o E-351, Sainik Colony, Jammu who qualified Engineering Services Examination 2013 in Electronics and Communication with 15th rank. Engineering Services was previously known as Indian Engineering Services (IES) conducted by UPSC. It is one of the toughest technical exams in the country. The prestigious nature of the job and its challenging assignments inspired and fascinated me, however, the deriving force behind was my elder brother Mr. Vivek Kanwal’s constant motivation. * How many hours a day you used to study?
The quality of time spent is more significant than the quantity of hours. Yet 6 to 8 hours of dedicated study is sufficient to crack the exam in 1 year. However frequent punctuations with relaxations and entertainment are not without benefit.
* As you have achieved 15th rank in Engineering Services Examination, now what is your further course of action?
Now I am eager to join the services and serve the nation to the best of my knowledge and potential.
* Do you want to give any message to your juniors who are aspiring to tow your line?
My message is that nothing is impossible once you take a challenge head on with faith in your abilities and with never say die spirit.
Concept based approach to study and rationally strategizing of time slots for different subjects considerably facilitate preparation for exam. Eventually, obstacles may pause you but should never stop you. Best of luck to the future aspirants!
