India win the first One Day International against Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. Captain Shikhar Dhawan was the architect of the Indian victory as he scored 86 runs and lead the team from front. Dhawan was well accompanied by Ishan Kishan (59) who scored his maiden fifty on debut. While Dhawan’s opening mate Prithvi Shaw started the Indian chase with cracking shots, on average he was hitting boundary on every fourth ball he was playing. Dhananjaya De Silva was the top wicket-taker from the Sri Lankan team with his two wickets in 5 overs.
