NEW DELHI : Almost a week after NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed was shot dead, his wife Farzana Khatoon also succumbed to her injuries today at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) here.
According to sources, Ms Khatoon breathed her last around 1045 hrs. The Ahmed couple was attacked on April 3, by two gunmen on a bike as they were on way to home in Sahaspur town of Uttar Pradesh after attending a wedding.
While Tanzil Ahmed had died on the spot, his wife was brought to AIIMS here in a critical condition.
According to family sources, her last rites will take place at Jamia Milia University campus burial ground this evening. (AGENCIES)
