SAMBA, Aug 1: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia reiterated his party’s commitment to ensure equitable opportunities of development to all the pockets of the State with focus on utility services in the rural areas.
Addressing public meetings in his Vijaypur Assembly Constituency in village Badali and Rada after inaugurating an irrigational tubewell at Badali, Slathia said this will immensely benefit the farmers and the village community.
He exhorted people to extend their whole hearted support in the implementation of developmental works, which have been taken up in a big way to ameliorate the lot of people.
Slathia also announced road links, transformer and other civic works in Rada village.
Slathia said the report card of achievements is reflective of the deep urge of his party to undertake inclusive development and upgrading infrastructure.
He cautioned people against the machinations of divisive forces, who are hell bent to create wedge between various segments of population for their petty politics. He emphasized the need for maintaining unity for foiling the attempts of vested interests.
Slathia emphasized the great role of public representatives, especially the members of Panchayati Raj Institution, in rural development and meeting the developmental urges of the rural community.
