JAMMU, May 15: MLA Vijaypur and Senior Vice President of National Conference, S S Slathia, today distributed cheques worth Rs.5.60 lakh among 35 Schedule Caste and 21 Schedule Tribe beneficiaries at the rate of Rs.10,000 per beneficary as financial aid for purchase of cattles during a function at Vijaypur.
The function was organized by Animal Husbandry Department, Samba, under the supervision of CAHO, Dr G L Sharma.
Addressing at the function, the MLA assured the Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent citizens that the problems and demands raised by them would be taken up with the concerned authorities for an early redressal.
Later, Slathia addressed public meeting at border village Palouta in Vijaypur constituency to take stock of public grievances and their demands as well. He assured the people that all their issues will be taken up at an appropriate level for necessary action.
Slathia said that the work on metalling and blacktopping of Palouta-Kotla road will be taken up soon.
