JAMMU, Oct 18: A series of public meetings  were held in Chak  Babral, Badali & Gho-Rakwala in Vijaypur  by   Surjeet Singh Slathia, former Minister and MLA Vijaypur.
He assured the people that the government is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of the area. Earlier Slathia inaugurated Community Facility Centre (CFC) & lanes and drains in village Chak  Babral which have been completed at a cost of Rs.25 lakh by Rural Development Department under the scheme BADP.
While speaking on the occasion, Slathia said that  several developmental works are under execution in Vijaypur constituency which will benefit the people of the area and adjoining villages.
He also inaugurated 3 additional class rooms in  Government Middle School, Badali which have  been completed at the cost  of Rs.9.45 lakh under  Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). On the  completion of these class rooms the children of the village will be  benefitted.
Slathia also inaugurated  lanes and drains in village Gho-Rakwala which have  been completed at the cost of Rs.12.00 lakh  executed by Rural Development Department under the scheme MGNREGA.
He gave a detailed account of the development projects and welfare schemes launched by the Omar led Coalition Government in every nook and corner of the State.
