SAMBA, Dec 15: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia today inaugurated newly constructed lanes and drains from National Highway to Ward No. 7 & 8. He also laid foundation stone for construction of lanes and drains in Ward No. 5, 9 and 11 in Vijaypur.
The total expenditure of Rs.40 lakh will be incurred on these works and other pending lanes and drains which will be constructed under the scheme IDMT through Municipal Committee, Vijaypur.
Later, Slathia addressed a public meeting in village Marhoon in Vijaypur constituency. He listened the grievances of the people and assured them for early redressal of their demands. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of Omar Abdullah for further development of the State.
Among Panchs and Sarpanchs various officers of different departments were also present on the occasion.
