Slathia lays foundation stone of community facility centre

SAMBA, Mar 3: Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to socio-economic empowerment of the people, especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas.
This was stated by MLA Vijaypur and Senior Vice President National Conference S S Slathia while addressing public meeting at border village Nanga in Ramgarh Samba.
On the occasion, Sarpanchs, Panchs and local people apprised the MLA about their grievances and demands which included provision for uninterrupted power supply, potable drinking water, road connectivity, better medicare, benefits under IAY, BPL and other State and Centrally sponsored schemes, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Slathia assured the people of the area that their demands like upgradation of roads, opening of veterinary hospital, blacktopping of link road from Ramgarh to Nanga, two electric transformers, 50 electric poles, 5 cases of IAY and widow pension cases would be redressed at the earliest.
Earlier, Mr. Slathia laid foundation stone for construction of community facility centre to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 18 lakh.
He also inaugurated development works of lanes, drains and roads which have been completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 66 lakh.
Slathia said that equitable development of all three regions of the state was the prime motto of the Coalition Government. He said that last four years have witnessed massive development activities which have changed the developmental profile of the State.
